SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT STUDENT / CYBERSECURITY TRACK / JOHANNESBURG, SA
Second-year Software Development student at WeThinkCode_, specialising in Cybersecurity. I build things in Java and Python, and I'm working my way from IT support fundamentals toward threat detection and defensive security, one certification and one hackathon at a time.
I didn't start out in tech. Before WeThinkCode_, I spent time in sales, office administration, and care work, roles that had nothing to do with computers, but everything to do with paying close attention, staying calm under pressure, and catching what's out of place. That instinct is what eventually pulled me into cybersecurity.
I'm currently building my technical foundation through WeThinkCode_'s skills-based programme, alongside Cisco's Introduction to Cybersecurity and TryHackMe's Pre Security path. Outside of coursework, I compete in hackathons, build AI-integrated applications, and write in both isiZulu and English.
Every stop taught me something the last one didn't. Read top to bottom, like a trace route to where I'm headed.
